Christmas card 2011

Our Christmas card and some outtakes of playing with dad!

December activities 1

We have been reading a Christmas book every night in December.
This was the quietest that sat, when Dad read to them.
I made this advent quilt while in Utah over Thanksgiving.
I don't think I would have finished it without Marla spoiling the kids, I mean playing with them .
We have all been sleeping on our Christmas pillowcases that I made.
I found the idea online last year. But didn't finish the project till the beginning of December.
Our Christmas Music Makers party.
I love that Weston and Angie decided to have a little "date" away from the group.

Christmas Eve 2011

We made puppy chow and pumpkin pies together.
For dinner we went to a Japanese hibachi restaurant near us, that we went to last year. (I just can't remember the name of it right now). We came home for pumpkin pie desserts..
Jax loved his pie...
...he was eating the plate too!
Twins mostly wanted the cool whip!
sweet kids
we opened our one gift each...a pair of pj's.
We read our Christmas stories and put the kids to bed.

Christmas Day 2011

Our living room after Santa visited...
Jax tricycle stroller, white chair for toddler table and bear
Sami baby doll crib and pig
Wes race track and moose
Jax was more interested in going through our piles of opened gifts then opening or playing with his own. He is not to excited about the trike yet. I hope he will like it more when we are outside with the twins on their bikes.
Sami opened her gifts and piled them by her crib and put all the dolls in it. She got a baby doll and Aurora princess doll. She hasn't quite figured out how to play with dolls yet. Her "baby" sleeps in the crib alot...while she is playing cars with her brothers.
Weston got two tracks. This one that attaches to the counter and a side by side racing track that Grandpa Rand made. (He made Sami's crib too)
Weston got a carrier to put all his match box cars in and a remote control "Lightning."
He has been totally focused on playing and hasn't enjoyed his siblings interrupting him.
Our family.

Temple square

We bundled up and went down to temple square with our friends the day after Thanksgiving.
What a beautiful place.
Sami kept calling the temple a castle.

Marla sets a pretty table, doesn't she?
And Makes yummy looking and tasting treats

Jax pulls up on everything. But won't walk on his own.
Breakfast with Snowwhite
I don't remember what they were doing with these.
They are getting to be quite imaginative!

Jaxon 1 Year old

Can you believe Jaxon is 1 now!
I can't. I want him to stay my baby forever. He is the cutest, happiest guy.
He lets you know when he is mad. But not very often. He follows the twins around and entertains himself. LOVE this BOY
Before the birthday cupcakes.
Marla made the cupcakes....while I sewed.
Best vacation ever!
And after. This wasn't his first cupcake.
I believe he sampled the twins birthday cupcakes.
Not to messy...
Picture with his "cupcake".
Get used to these cupcakes.
Birthday kid will get a picture next to it every year.
Think the ball was his favorite present.
He got a little people airplane that he didn't actually play with till the twins went to bed.
Then we found him playing with it the same way Weston was. Filling it with cars!

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa

We were able to able to travel to Utah for Thanksgiving this year. We all had a great time. Except we got Grandma Marla sick...SORRY
Making cookies with Grandma. Do you see...she let the kids sit on her counter.
Now the kids push their chairs over to the island to be involved....
Puzzles with Grandpa.
This big puzzle didn't stay out long.
But they put the little puzzles together many, many times.
Turkey cookies done.
Grandma Marla showing off her masterpiece.
Not really. You'll see more masterpieces in the next posts.
