Jaxon 1 month

Trying to get Jaxon to wake up yesterday after returning home from errands. Seth and I both walked past him and thought, "What a tub!"
On Monday, Jax had his 1 month pediatrician visit.
He weights 10 lbs 7.5 oz and is 22 3/4 inches long.
He is such a great baby!

Christmas Time

Seth and I really enjoyed Christmas this year. The twins are at a great age. (Aside from the occasional tantrum). With Seth's paternity leave we spent a lot of time together at home.

Christmas Eve Day we made sugar cookies and let the kids frost a couple...
They mostly just ate the frosting.
Miss messy Sami
Weston is becoming our cookie monster!

We started the tradition a few years ago to have Japanese Hibachi for Christmas Eve dinner.
The other group at our table liked watching the twins reactions to the "show".
Sami loved the soup and got it everywhere. Wes wouldn't touch it.

We open our 1 gift Christmas Eve which is always PJ's. (what else are we to wear the next day?)
For some reason Wes would not pose for the picture.

Christmas Day
Wes loved the cars that were in his stocking. Probably didn't have to get him anything else.
Jaxon slept through the gift opening part of the day.
Our family Christmas morning 2010!

Daddy and Jax

I don't have hardly any pictures of Daddy and Jax.
I love this one that I took of them last night!

Thanks Grandma

Grandma flew home on Monday. We miss her and appreciated all the meals and diaper changes.
She wanted a pictures with all 3 kids for a cell phone.
Weston really didn't want to take a picture and Jaxon was asleep.
But Grandma and Sami look good.

Twin time

My mom and I decided to take the kids to the Gaylord for the Ice exhibit. When I was looking for coupons to the pricey event, I came across some unhappy reviews of the experience. So we decided to go check out the decorations and decide there if it was worth the price. It wasn't worth the $12 parking but it was a fun outing for us.
Checkin out the train.
As close as we got to the ICE and SNOW experience.
Much cheaper that way.
Yep we are a 2 stroller family now. Guess I'm never leaving the house again on my own!
Helping Daddy in the garden today.

Jax has a bath

Jax's first bath...Love those feet!
Just chillin afterward.
I find I just hold this sweetie and take less pictures. (Sorry Grandmas)

Sami & Jax

Jax is so sweet.
Sami wanted to sit next to Jax and take pictures.
Weston was playing with Daddy at the time, and is less interested in "baby".

Before and Baby

For family and friends far away. This is what I looked like the day before Jaxon was born.
The twins met Jaxon yesterday.
With Sami's runny nose and cough, and Weston's slight cough we didn't want to take the kids to the hospital until they were feeling better.
They are adjusting to new baby and doing better now that mommy is home. Mom, Dad and twins did not enjoy being separated the last few days.
Need to get a good picture of Jaxon and all his dark hair. He is dang cute but the pictures so far aren't doing him justice!

Happy shoppers

We were at Costco Thursday getting diapers. (Didn't want to run out while I was in the hospital.) The kids were being silly so I pulled out the camera and then they stopped. But they did let me get this cute picture.
If you notice the red mark above Sami's eye, that is from her falling down in a store last weekend.
The baby's room is ready. I have done the Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping. My hospital bag is packed. Seth has his schedule for next week hanging on the fridge. Now I just need my sicky Sami to get over her cold. I hate to leave her when she is sick.
Seth informed me that I can blog from my laptop in the hospital. So I will upload pictures as soon as I can on Monday!
I can't wait to meet this little boy!

Lunch time

I gave the kids cottage cheese with lunch today. This is what happens if I leave the room and let them feed themselves...
Such a messy little girl.
Not as messy, but he was smiling for the camera.

2 weeks left

Just an update on us.
We have two weeks left until the twins have a new little brother. Really don't think they have a clue on what's going on. Toys moved out of their room, that I know they see in the baby's room. A crib. Car seats moved to the back seat in the minivan. Really can you ignore moms big belly?
Will keep you updated on how they deal with the new addition to our family.
Daddy entertaining the kids with his iphone at the primary activity Saturday.

Thanksgiving banner

I think I'm addicted to banners. Don't be surprised if I come up with something to hang from my mantle every holiday.
This one I did mostly myself (well Seth had to help with some Photoshop questions). I really need to learn Photoshop one of these days.
There are 25 leaves, we are going to write something we are thankful for each day until Thanksgiving. Then for Thanksgiving dinner we will read them all. Did you notice I didn't say Thanksgiving day? Our dinner will be Friday or Saturday, as Mom gets here Thursday and hopefully I'll be home from the hospital that day too.

I hope the kids enjoy Halloween next year because this year was a fight. I felt like such a mean mommy dressing up my kids and both of them crying as I'm dressing them and after until the costumes were off again.
Weston was a dinosaur.
Here daddy is comforting him the first time I put the costumes on them (a week before).
Sami was a fairy (upset also).
I never got a picture with her wearing the hat.
We pretended to trick or treat at our back door. They stopped crying only when they had candy in their mouths.
Sami and Wes at the church trunk or treat Saturday night. Sami was not shy about going around with daddy to all the cars. Wes stayed behind with me at first and helped me hand out candy.
He was very helpful and CUTE!
After all the candy is gone.
Sami loved that sugar stick, Wes is holding on tight to the bag of candy.
Back in the car, candy in hand ready to go home.
Don't they look like they enjoyed themselves?

Sami likes her shades

I don't know if you noticed in the October fun post just how many pictures Sami is wearing her sunglasses's alot.
Wearing them playing on their "cars".
Gotta wear them at the breakfast table, right?

When the sunglasses make it to the house from the car. She puts them on when she gets out of her crib in the morning. So in PJ's, needing a diaper change, hair everywhere...but we are wearing the shades.
Love my silly kids!

October fun

October has been busy with birthdays, state fairs, pumpkin patches and me trying to organize the rest of the year. With twins who are growing up way to fast for me!

On Seth's Friday off we took the kids to the Texas State Fair. Why I insist on going pregnant, I don't know. We didn't even go last year. We didn't actually take pictures at the fair. But this is us riding the DART to the fair.
Daddy and Wes....enjoyed the ride.
Me and Sami....who didn't enjoy the train. She cried most of the way there.
Sami and Wes sitting up to the table in their travel booster chairs. For a couple days they both fought me on getting in their high chairs. So we moved them up to the table, reluctantly.
Sami in Daddy's truck ready to go on the Daddy Daughter campout. Except that Daddy was on call this weekend and they came home a couple hours later. Think they both enjoyed their one on one time with us.
Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch, which is about a 45 minute drive from us. We met a new friend there and played.
Sami standing in the wooden train....and the top of Weston's head.
Trying to both drive the wooden tractor. We are working on sharing....daily
Walking through the pumpkins.
They refused to sit next to or on a pumpkin for pictures. This is the best I could get.

Twins 2nd Birthday

Birthday kids in front of their banner this morning. They woke up to the banner hanging from the mantle and kept pointing at it and talking gibberish.
Seth took the day off and wanted to take them on an outing. But he was still on call so we went to Bouncetown here in Wylie. Last time we were there Sami and Wes didn't care for the bounce stuff and stayed in the toddler area. This trip was the same...
They both really enjoyed the air hockey table.

We went to Chick a fil a for lunch and put them down for naps when we got home. They woke from their naps to balloons and gifts.

We had a couple friends over for cake and ice cream. I made two cupcake cakes. And have decided that they will get their own cake every year. Why? I don't know why...
