I tried to decorate the helmets myself. I would love to be good at crafts, but my skills are lacking. I started out by painting Sami's helmet pink, but it looked horrible and luckily just washed off. The stickers were supposed to be the finishing touch to a pink and blue helmet, but at least they are not all white. Cars stickers for Wes and hearts and butterflies for Sami. My goal next week is to trade out the stickers for vinyl along with cleaning my house. Will see if I can get either accomplished, I'll keep you posted.
I can touch my brother and my toes, at the same time.
Movin boy. Happy girl
Yeah my thumb tastes good. Mom doesn't feed us enough!

Doc bands

So my babies have mis-shaped heads, don't we all.
We knew that Sami's poor head was going to need some intervention but was surprised when the pediatrician gave us a referral for Wes and Sami to get doc bands. Seth and I have been discussing for weeks on the best course of action. Thinking Weston's would probably fix itself, we leaned towards not getting him one. But our insurance does not cover the doc bands at all. We get half off the second band if they got them together (another "twin" discount). If we waited to see if Weston corrected on his own and didn't, the process would drag on double the time. We have weekly adjustment visits that he would already be at. I know they are two separate kids but I like them doing things together. I feed them cereal together, when Weston's eczema flares up they both stop eating cereal for a few days. I bathe them the same day, not one today and the other tomorrow. Sami and Wes got the bands on Monday, it took a few days to adjust. In the mean time I had cranky babies and Weston's eczema had flared up the weekend before making his adjustment a little harder. Sami and Weston are doing great now.
Sami and Wes doing a little clothes-less belly time while waiting during consult. Seth loves this picture....
3rd day wearing helmets
Today...Weston showing his mobility still
Sami is very good at finding her thumb
Wes prefers playing in gym where he can stand and see everything or on floor and turning circles
Sami likes toys. She sits propped up in the pack in play with all the toys in her reach.

5 months

Babies are now 5 months old. Time flies and it's been so much fun!

Weston is on the move...
What will daddy do if I put me feet here?
His head was were the blue blanket is last night when I put him to bed.
Belly time. They don't enjoy belly time so I tried something new today...
Baby Einstein and belly time...worked for a few minutes.
Wes chillin and watching stay on for only seconds
Finally got them both smiling and in matching outfits.

Sami got her ears pierced today. You can see the stud in this last picture. She did great, no crying at all. The twins get their doc bands (helmets) next week, I wanted Sami to look like a girl while wearing a helmet. Well that's my reasoning for earrings today at least.

Professional 4 month photos

I got the twins pictures done again at 4 months. Thought I would post the cutest ones. We have some smiley, happy babies. Weston was having a reaction to starting rice cereal in these photos. Now they eat barley cereal.
Weston and Samantha - looks like the blue eyes are staying!
I don't know where Sami learned to smile with her tongue....

My Mom and Keith are visiting this week. I have enjoyed all the help with the babies. Grandma has been dressing up babies again.  We are all having lots of fun!

Grandma and Mom with Sami and Wes. "Twins ARE twice the fun" to dress up!
Weston and Samantha's feet are even. He is just that much taller.
I think it's time to go fishin... for a toy.
Sami is so cute in that big bow.
After stake conference, Keith, Wes, Grandma and Sami.
