Twins first Halloween

I tried to find costumes for these little ones while I was pregnant, I didn't find anything I loved. Instead I found these onesies, Weston barely fit in his. Isn't he a chunk?

The pumpkin hat was in a box of baby clothes Seth's cousin was kind enough to send us. 

Babies spent their halloween in the house sleeping while Seth handed out candy. 

Monica and I had planned to carve pumpkins and make Halloween sugar cookies today. Eliot is still feeling unwell and I didn't have the energy. There is always next year right!

Grandma goes home

Mom and Weston in car, before picking up my cousin Kay at airport. She is helping with twins for a few days, while I'm still recovering. We are so happy she is here. 
These were taken yesterday. Babies are wearing outfits that Grandma Marla bought and sent to us right after we found out the gender of the twins. 

Grandma went home today. But first she dressed up babies and we took some family pictures. Samantha's outfit was a little big, but isn't she sweet?
Weston had a rough night and day. He is gasy and had a hard time sleeping. Luckily he is getting some sleep now. He calms down pretty good in Dad's arms.

Dressing up babies

Grandma is having a fun time dressing up babies. After the sponge bath today, this is how cute the babies looked
This was Weston's BIG TRUCK outfit yesterday. We dressed him but kept forgetting to get a picture while he was awake and with his sister. Samantha was just to cute in all the pink and with her hands by her face. Am I taking enough pictures?Samantha's head is so small the hat does not stay off her face and eyes. She is my little bank robber.
Grandma has been here a week now, I will be terribly lost without her when the second week is up.

I am doing well, slowly recovering. Swelling is slowly descending in my legs. Quite a site to see.

Babies are awesome and a handful. Weston lets us hear his lungs regularly. Samantha has yet to scream at us.

New Babies

The babies and mommie are doing great. Everyone is busy feeding, changing diapers and sleeping in between, so we don't have much time for anything else, but we still manage to take some photos every day. Here are some of the best ones:

Getting around

After last Thursday's Doctors appointment Monica and I were in no rush to go home. I was a bit down as I could not talk Doc into delivering babies. So we went to Culvers and ate some really good frozen yogurt.  Still not in a hurry to go home, Monica suggested a Target run, if I would drive the cart. I agreed, and she got a kick out of all the looks I was getting from shoppers. 

After Tuesday's Doctors appointment I was so happy. Doctor took me off bed rest. I could go out again, and even though I had been staying a bit more on my feet the previous few days, at least Seth would stop getting mad at me about it. 

With the new found freedom we decided to go to the state fair. Lived here 3 years now and this was our first time.

Of course we had to find "Big Tex" and get a picture with him. 

Even though I was off bed rest. We didn't think my 5 weeks resting body could walk around the fair grounds. We rented a wheel chair and Seth pushed me around. The few times I got up to walk, Eliot wanted to ride in the chair. We had lots of fun and I tried dippin dots for the first time. I was looking for fry bread...couldn't find any....must be an Arizona thing.  Seth agreed to go far too easily. I later figured out it was because he was hoping to find some more coins for his collection, sadly he didn't find any.
